How to Find Telecommuting Jobs That are Real

Working from home is becoming huge these days. Also called telecommuting or flex time work, it is estimated that one in five Americans work from home.  And there are many, very legitimate, companies that hire people looking for this type of work.

But how to you find telecommuting jobs that are REAL and offered by REAL companies?

flexjobs-logo-400x182The best truly legitimate resource around that specializes in helping people looking for this type of work from home is FlexJobs (www.flexjobs.com).

At the date of this post Flexjobs  had 27,959 jobs listed on this site from 4,492 companies all over the world.

The best thing that can be said about FlexJobs is that all the companies and job opportunities whose listings are accepted have been thoroughly screened to make sure they are legitimate and not scams.

I realize this is sounding like an advertisement for FlexJobs and I don’t mean for it to, but they are quite an impressive resource.  And if you are reading this it should be of real interest to you because you are here looking for ways to make money online or outside the tradition method of going to a regular job.

In our research we found that FlexJobs had over 150 career categories and jobs for just about anyone ranging from entry-level to executive, freelance to full-time.

So who would find FlexJobs  a good resource? (I will just copy and paste here what they say because I can’t do it any better):

• Anyone looking for part-time, flextime, and freelance jobs that are in-line with their career.
• People looking to telecommute some, or all, of the time.
• Professionals looking for flexible, flextime, or non-traditional schedules.
• Parents wanting to be more flexible for their kids and families.
• Someone looking for a second job or supplemental income that utilizes their skills and education in a professional way.
• Military spouses who need the flexibility to work from anywhere, in case their spouses are re-stationed.
• People with physical or health issues trying to find flexible work and telecommuting jobs to suit their needs.
• Retirees looking to stay professionally active and to earn some income.
• Competitive athletes wanting a professional job that will fit around their training and competition schedules.
• And anyone else who would appreciate a job that fits with their life, not a life that fits with their job!

Here’s a sampling of a few of the more well known companies offering jobs like these at the FlexJobs site.

Quick Start Challenge–Week Three

Just finished up with the Week Three Training for the Quick Start Challenge.  And I am afraid at this point many people are going to drop off.   The home work load might seem overwhelming.  But that doesn’t need to be the case.  If they  go to the right places it will be easy.  And I will share with you here where to go.

1.  First we need to get an auto responder and two suggestions were offered:  Aweber and Get Response.  I have used both but prefer Get Respponse because they offer live support (at no extra cost)  where someone will talk you through completely how to use it and  set up a mail sequence.  I have used this support many times.  They are very  patient and great at answering all the crazy a newbie might have questions. They even offer a FREE class on how to use their autoresponder to grow your list to 10,000 in 90days.

Just Click Here to Go To Get Response.

Getresponse+review

2. Next we need to put together a free report that can be used as a FREE gift to give away in exchange for someone’s email address.  You can either write this yourself of get something already written.  I wrote my own and you I will give it to you FREE just click here.

But getting something already written is easiest and that can be obtained from a Private Label Rights Company.    These are companies that have obtained the rights to this type of information and will sell it for just a few dollars.  You then can put your name on the PLR piece, make a few slght changes and sell it as if it was yours.

There are a lot of companies out there that sell PLR products.  Some are better than others. My favorte site is: Resell Rights Weekly.  Their products seem to be of a much higher quality that other sites I have seen.

Just click anywhere on this link and you will be taken there where you will get FREE instant access to hundreds of dollars worth of private label rights products.

3.  Add an optin bar to your website.  Here is another reason I like Get Response.  This can be a little tricky if it your first time doing this. Get Response has already premade optin boxes for websites you can use, and again they will talk you through how to put them on your site and how to make them work.  With Get Response it is easy peasy.

That’s it for week three.  Looking forward to week four.

Quick Start Challenge–Week Two

Week Two of the Quick Start Challenge started with a webinar where Dean presented ideas for generating traffic. He also challenged the group to make a video and post it online.

Unfortunately, there were serious recurring audio problems with the webinar host, GoToWebinar. The topic was eventually covered, just took a little longer than expected.

Homework for this week:

1. Join a forum related to your niche. For Internet Marketers the forum suggested was Warrior Forum. I am already a member so that was easy. The other part of the assignment was to begin posting comments and start making contributions on the forum. I did start doing this as well.

2. Post comments on our fellow students blogs and websites. I jumped all over this and it took quite a bit of time. But I would say I viewed just about all the blogs and commented on most that were set up to accept comments.

3. This was the big task and most difficut for most people. It would require everyone to really step out of their comfort zone. The assignment was to make a video where we were on camera and then post it online. I did this and the result is below.

Okay, that’s it for week two with the Quick Start Challenge. Onward and upward!

There are so many different ways to make money online today.  Some do not work and are nothing more than a waste of time, however others DO work and work quite well.

But how can you find out in advance what exactly are the BEST methods? Great question.

Recognizing that everyone has different tastes and interests, was taken into consideration when the TOP 20 compilation was put together.  There is literally is something for everyone in this book.

Wealthy Affiliate-Review-My Top Recommendation for Newbies

There are a lot of different programs available today on how to make money online. And for my first review of one I thought it would be best to share with you one that I have actually used over the last few years and it has made me money.
It is called Wealthy Affiliate.

join-wealthy-affiliate2

Wealthy Affiliate is a site where you can learn to make money through a variety of different means.

It is actually perfect for those new to Internet Marketing and those at an intermediate level.

I really like Wealthy Affiliate and can recommend it with confidence–because all the money I have made online over the years, I have either learned or received help in some way from Wealthy Affiliate.

There is an expression that is very fitting at this moment. It is: “Be in business for yourself, not by yourself.”

If you are going to be successful in business you need to surround yourself with people that can help you when you are in need.

You will not be successful if you isolate yourself and try to do everything all on your own. If you have no one to turn to when you need help everything will come to a halt.

Well, Wealthy Affiliate is the place I have turned to often and it has been a huge contributor to my online success.

You see Wealthy Affiliate is different than most Internet products you will see today. It not just a one-off method for making money. It is more of an interactive community where there are thousands of members that help each other make money online.

At Wealth Affiliate there are a number of “step by step” classroom type programs that teach how to make money online. These are very good and detailed and they work. But better than that is the community of people at Wealthy Affiliate that you can turn to when you have questions on something. This is so invaluable.

If you are going to succeed in Internet marketing you need to have as much help as possible and that means having access to people you can find easily that will answer your questions. Wealthy Affiliate will help with that.

YOU CAN TRY IT FOR FREE

So what is your risk in giving Wealthy Affiliate a try?

Your risk is absolutely zero! That’s because they will let you try it for FREE for seven days. After that you can either stay on as a free member or upgrade to premium member status (which will give you access to many more tools and resources).

Pros:

  • You can look around completely FREE for 7 days–they won’t even ask for a credit card upfront.
  • The thorough step-by-step training and classrooms are among the best I have seen.
  • The community of people there and so many are willing to help.
  • 24/7 support
  • Everything is offered there for you to easily build and publish on the Internet own website or blog(s). Even hosting is included.
  • They have been around for over ten years evolving and improving and there are thousands of active members there. That kind of time in the Internet world is like an eternity. And with that many people (thousands!) maintaining their memberships month after month–something very good must be going on there.

Cons:

  • It has so much in terms of training, tools and resources plus the thousands of members all commenting it might be a bit overwhelming for someone very new to Internet Marketing. But that being said once the new person gets going they will be glad for the thoroughness of everything.
  • They are very strict within the forum and will not tolerate spamming or causing trouble. So if you like to use a forum for ranting this may not be for you.
  • I wish the 7 day free trial was a bit longer. In my opinion is a nice gesture but not quite enough time if you only have a couple hours a day like after or before your real job to look around.

Does Wealthy Affiliate get Thumbs Up or Thumbs down?

Mark gives it a BIG Thumbs Up.

I’m actually not sure how long the FREE trial is going to be available so I suggest taking a look today.

The Quick Start Challenge – Follow Along With Me

qsc-logo4I recently joined the “Quick Start Challenge” program. And it started this week. I decided to do this because I felt I needed a little push and motivation.

Apparently, this is the third time around for QSC.  The driving force behind it is Dean Holland.

The Quick Start Challenge is a program that teaches you how in just 28 days to become an email master.  Here’s what they say:

In Just 28 Days You’ll Be Established Online, Armed With Everything You Need To Build Your Own Email Lists And Driving Floods Of FREE TRAFFIC

week1

week2

week3

week4

Before joining I did my due diligence and came across MANY very positive testimonials from people who had been through QSC in the earlier versions.  I know these people were REAL because I even spoke to a few online and via Skype.  All had good things to say and that it was a contributor to the success they are having today.

I know this much, being successful in anything, and Internet Marketing is no exception, requires constant and continuing education.

So far we have met online once and were pumped up by Dean as he laid out what would happen over the next four weeks.  At the same time he put forth a challenge to all participants.

So here I go—giving the “Quick Start Challenge” a go.

If you want to see how I do, keep an eye on my website here where I will post my ongoing progress.
